Here’s how you start at Uplift.
Pole is much more than just exercise or dancing. At Uplift we strive to truly make it a beautiful experience and a journey of self-love and discovery. Our studio focuses on more than just learning a spin or trick. We inspire you to get connected to your sensuality, dance in ways that feel good, and of course learn some pretty cool tricks and spins in the process. We believe sexy and powerful confidence has no gender, age or body type!
All students NEW to pole dance can choose:
beginner pole level 1
(SINGLE CLASS)

BEGINNER JOURNEY POLE SERIES
(SERIES RUNS 4 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS)
No experience needed, just bring yourself!
As a beginner you’ll explore:
* Basic spins, grips, and transitions
* Foundational pole tricks and shapes
* Introductory flow, floorwork, and sensual movement
* The art of musicality and movement expression
* Community support, encouragement, and celebration
* Most importantly, your own power, grace, and confidence
IMPORTANT NOTE: This series is designed to build progressively, with each week layering into the next. At the same time, every class is thoughtfully structured to stand on its own. If life happens or you become ill and you need to miss a week, you’ll still be able to step back in without feeling lost.

Studio space is very limited, and is on a first come first serve basis.
Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes before your class start time. DOOR OPEN 10 MINUTES BEFORE CLASS BEGINS.
Late arrivals past 10 minutes and no-shows will NOT receive a class credit refund.
If you will be late please immediately text the studio at 949-503-0133, as doors typically are locked once class begins. *We will hold doors open with notification for 10 minutes only*
Due to limited class space we have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy.
PLEASE USE FITDEGREE TO CANCEL-Do not call, text or email the studio to cancel for you. Staff cannot process cancellations on your behalf, please use the app or web.

The 4-week series is designed to build progressively, with each week layering into the next. Attending consistently will give you the strongest foundation and overall experience. That said, each class is thoughtfully structured to stand on its own, so missing one session won’t prevent you from continuing with confidence.
Due to the limited spots and the commitment required to run a series, registrations are non-refundable. If illness or injury prevents you from attending, please reach out as soon as possible, text 949-503-0133.
In certain circumstances, a make-up or series date transfer option may be offered at our discretion, and we reserve the right to request documentation, such as a doctor’s note, if needed.
Outside of illness or injury, missed classes are not eligible for refund or transfer. We appreciate your understanding and commitment to your movement journey.

What To Wear: Leggings or Shorts and a comfortable t-shirt or tank for your first class. Bare feet or socks.
What To Bring: Water and a yoga mat if you prefer to use your own mat, if not, we have clean mats available to use.

Before I take a class i want to lose weight or get in shape.
Many of us think we have to be a certain weight, shape, or size before we begin. This is absolutely not true. All shapes and sizes can begin our classes; it’s truly for all bodies, any shape, any size! Your first class will be the beginning of a beautiful journey of self-discovery and self-appreciation. We are here to embrace you and everything that makes you the beautiful sensual creature you are! Our unique program cultivates a desire and need to make YOU a priority. You find yourself craving and exploring movement in your body and soul. You desire the dance and music becomes the fuel that ignites your sensual soul. When your body consistently moves it organically feels and becomes stronger inside and out.
I don't have a dance or fitness background.
That’s basically all of us. Truth be told, the gym isn’t our idea of fun. Most of our students had never done anything like this before; they have minimal to no background in dance and many have never taken a single dance or fitness class. We are regular everyday people with lives, jobs, and obligations. We are people from a range of lifestyles, professions, and responsibilities. Most have had absolutely no technical dance or physical training before beginning our classes. All you need to know you will learn and discover in a safe and supportive class space. All we ask is that you have a willing heart and an open mind.
Do I need to be able to lift my weight or get my feet off the ground?
No, most of us are NOT able to lift our body weight up or even one foot off the ground. It’s a process that takes time and patience but the beauty of our studio is success and growth are not measured by when or IF you ever get your feet off the ground. We all progress at our own rate. It’s not a race, it’s a journey and we encourage you to enjoy the beautiful journey. You will never be pushed beyond your limit or ability. Your growth is your own and we encourage you to take it at your own pace and comfort level. Whether your feet stay on the ground or they fly in the air you will find both take practice, patience, and passion and, all are equally beautifully rewarding.
I’ve never done something like this before. WHY POLE DANCE?
We know this is not your typical dance class. That’s what makes it so beautiful, addictive, and empowering. Coming together in an environment of beautiful, supportive, and encouraging bodies is what it’s all about. Many people may have preconceived notions about pole dancing, who pole dances, and why someone pole dances. They may not understand the meaning of sensual movement or the need for sensual self-awareness or self-expression. These ideas and judgements stem from lack of understanding, generally based on fears of the unknown, and lack of information. We aren't here to debate the history of pole dancing, say DON”T do it because "it's a good workout" or say it's something we do just for fitness. The fact is, pole dancing is sexy, it's sensual, and emotionally powerful. That's why we do it! There is empowerment, beauty, grace, strength, and sensuality in what we do. We are unapologetically strong and sexy. This will be your personal journey where you will be encouraged to embrace your courage, own your sensuality, and dance your best life!
What class should I start with?
Introduction To Pole OR Beginner Level 1 Series is where all first timers should start. You will be in class with students of similar ability and your instructor will be there to answer any and all of your questions. These classes will be the beginning of a new and amazing chapter in your life. Get ready to become part of a supportive and beautiful community; one that encourages, embraces, and empowers you to be the sexiest and most confident person you can be!

Are you ready to register for classes?
Now that I registered for class what should i know and what do i wear?
For your first class we recommend you wear comfortable attire that you can move freely in. We recommend leggings, sweats, shorts, a tank top, or a t-shirt, along with bare feet or socks.
As you progress you will need more exposed skin therefore we highly recommend yoga/pole shorts and a snug fitting shirt or tank top.
NO lotions, oils, or oil based products on the body or hair, this will make the pole slippery.
NO rings or jewelry.
Stay hydrated and bring water.
